From J & B Waltman 25th January 2008

The news of Harvey’s passing came as a real shock to my wife, Beverly and I. We were recipients of his yearly holiday newsletter and truly enjoyed them over the years. We met Harvey in medical school in 1954, and developed a friendship that has lasted 54 years. Yes, the friendship was distant geographically, but thru those yearly letters we were apprised of his life events as he was of ours. Several years ago my wife and I stopped by his office to see him again. Harvey looked the same and was as energetic as he was in medical school. We were pleased with the battle he took on in the proper treatment of pain and the results he ultimately achieved. I remember the two of us studying many times at night in a temple on Olympic blvd. fairly close to Beverly Hills. I remember his locating to Sacramento. I said it sure is hot there. He told my wife and I that the delta breeze comes up in the afternoon. We did have the pleasure of knowing Alice and Dianna and Kari on some of our trips that took us thru Sacramento. We made a point of stopping by and visiting in those early years after medical school. We will miss him. J & B Waltman
